Oh happy days....

Great time in ministry time on Sunday has left me feeling so much lighter and positive and excited about God. Such a blessing and way beyond my expectations. Just pray that I can move on and up from here rather than slump backwards over time.

Money, money money...

Forgot my purse today. Makes you realise just how much you use money every day.

Yay!

Today is what I love about autumn and winter - amazing blue skies without the oppressive humidity of summer or the need to spend your day dashing from patch of shade to patch of shade, the dappled sunlight and longer shadows and the crisp freshness of the air in the morning.

Bring on autumn!

Just Because...

Brand New Flavour!

New season at church - undergoing the gathering season exercise of consolidating all dispersed celebrations into morning and evening services.

Despite the fact that at 25 I fall between the services (the evening one is for under 25's, and the morning for over 25's - what happens to the 25 year olds?) it was pretty good last week. Struggled a bit though with the high volume at ten am in the morning but thinking that as we enter autumn that ear muffs might become a suitable seasonal solution!

Also - if we have comfy chairs for the families as a recognition of the wide range of situations represented in the audience...sorry congregation, can we please can have an area to accomodate the non child owning section of the attendees? Maybe some comfy chairs too in a quiet corner, soothing music to help to ease yourself into the early start, coffee on tap, dimmed lights perhaps?!!

Seriously though, after a summer where the only input available seemed a little too close to sunday school, it was nice to get some adult food at the service (and no I don't mean a wider range of danish pasties Chris, I mean the sermon!).

I understand that children are important to the life of a church and I support that, but I just personally prefer to abide in other ways than acting out a parable, no matter how fun it is. I guess that as someone who could do with guidance on abiding (an oxymoron? - by the way just looked that up on the internet to check the spelling and got a great list which included 'microsoft works') it would have been nice to see the church trying out different ways in its summer services. Anyway, enough.

Anyway, having gone through a period of working long hours and receiving the praise for it, realised that I've come to rely on my superiors at work for praise and recognition rather than being grounded in God. Need to get that one sorted.

Trying new hairdressers at the weekend - and before you all clamour to reply - not just because they serve free red wine - although that would be why my appointment is at three pm rather than nine am! Also joined Greens gym yesterday in a bit to get fit and help manage my stress.

It's all new new new!

First entry from new computer and first access to world wide washing line from home! Wayhay!
