Still alive!!

Well I survived a weekend on my own just fine. Although not sure it qualifies as a weekend on my own - but without Chris at least!!

Chris was on a stag do in the lake district and so I was left to my own devices all weekend! It's been a good chance to spend time with a few different people. Also enjoyed being able to swim as much as I wanted to, even went for a walk on my own (yes, I did just say that).

So a good reminder that even as an extrovert, I need my introvert time. Also a good reminder that I am more capable on my own than I sometimes think.

Chruch was good, focusing on foundations and also freedom. As we move into a season of more doing than abiding, it's a timely reminder. I think we are going to draw a line undeer our current habits and start to really think about how we use our time and including God in it more. We've very much gone through different seasons since we've been married in terms of the use of our spare time. This current phase unfortunately involves the most amunt of work since I've got married but that doesn't mean thast we shouldn't strive for quality in our rest. It was an important reminder of the need to rest in God rather than on the sofa!

Been feeling an unrest recently with the fact that it's easy to fall into the habits of the world in terms of how we spend our free time, but that we're not necessarily called to conform to how the world rests or plays.

Anyway, a good reminder.
